Google Goggles brings visual research on Android & confirms Goggles for iPhone
Google had promised the software for visual research on Android and in less than a week already are in the Market I’m talking about Google Goggles. Many items on this application circled the web for days and it was thought that the release was more distant but already today we find there Free in ‘Android Market!
Google Goggles is his name. The friendly software allows you to take a photo of a building, a landscape, a trademark, text, code and barriers and anything else that may be considered “a symbol” (or at worst that we can read something.)
The application will then scan the image in search of something to compare and you will then immediately a result. We see all the video explanation:
Google confirms Goggles for iPhone

Google has confirmed a few hours ago that its system of visual search through the Internet is coming on the iPhone. It’s called Google Goggles, and should land on the Apple-branded device within a few weeks. As you can see from the video above, take a photo with the camera of your iPhone, upload them on Google Goggles, and look for its meaning and other information that you need.
The innovative research has already been implemented on Android device, and is now ready to land even on the Apple smartphone and other mobile devices. Product from Google Labs, Goggles allows innovative research, with which you can access various information in almost all fields.
There are some improvements that Google engineers have made to the software, especially as regards the accuracy of the information, but we are all the premises because Goggles can become a powerful search tool, reliable and able to open new vistas for users.

Been using it for awhile. It’s pretty darn good. First thing I took a photo of was a pokemon card I found on the floor, it knew exactly what it was.
One more reason not to use Google services like Picasa. People don’t realize that they will give all their personal data to Google and they can do whatever with it. The data you give to G won’t ever disappear and will be available also for all Homeland Security agencies for whatever future governments. The most stupid people give G also their health and financial information!
Android will be the future OS for most of the mobile phones: is flexible, the most flexible OS comparing with the others mobile OS …this kind of stuff it’s the future of Search….together with the augmented reality because that’s the core of this kind of search
Tried it.
A joke so far,
Basically it says, if it’s some object with the name of that object on it, preferably as a bar code, then I can tel you what is this object.
I can have a label saying ‘xyz’ stick it to a cow and it will say it’s ‘xyz’.
