Apple’s new Safari 5 was launched together with a comparative test that would show that Safari is the fastest Javascript Browser.
Apple compared the Safari 5 with Google Chrome and Firefox and Apple’s apparent conclusion was that Safari 5 was the fastest. It was however quickly Microsoft to low their own tests where they compared the beta version of Safari 5 with IE9.
Microsoft uses the program to make SunSpider test and it shows funny enough that both Safari 4 and 5 is faster than Javascript IE9. By contrast, Microsoft’s test shows that IE9 is faster to run games in the browser because of a much better GPU acceleration.
