Facebook: Spam Spreads

An application spreads right now spam on Facebook. According to IT security firm Sophos has 290,000 people already clicked on a link that leads on to an application that writes so spam messages on your wall.

A typical message looks like this:

I am shocked ! I’m NEVER AGAIN texting since I found this out . Video here: http://bit.ly/a37TaB – Worldwide scandal !

Or this:

I’m texting Never Again ” Since I Found This Out
<name of Facebook-bruger> has seen a shocking video , Which shows someone dying because of texting

If you click , you are redirected to a new page.

Then you must approve the application to access basic information on one , and access to write on your wall.

Sophos ‘ security expert Graham Cluley surprised that people jump on spam trick.

” Why would you ever give an application such a permit to be allowed to see a video? sigh, sometimes you feel as if you run your head against the wall , “said Graham Cluley in a blog.

The majority of people who clicked on to spam application, are Americans .

Graham Cluley recommend that you remove the application and simultaneously removes spam messages from your wall if you jump on limed twigs .

Other similar applications have also surreptitious access to Danes Facebook accounts, for example application ” 10 worst tattoos . “
