by Skipper on July 7, 2010

LG has not exactly been known for being the major producer of smartphones, and despite including a major agreement with Microsoft to produce stacks of models with Windows Mobile, so it is usually not LG one seeks to if you looking for a smartphone. But now see South Koreans seem to finally be entering the smartphone battle through a series of new Android phones .

Up to 10 Android models
LG reports for now out that we will see up to 10 new Android models from them in years . And they have already unveiled the first two of the new Android models , both of which are under their Optimus brand nicknamed Chic (the middle of the black phones in the picture) and One ( the black mobile right of picture) .

With Android 2.2
Both models make use of the brand new and still quite rare Android 2.2 , which also goes by the codename Froyo . Unfortunately, there is virtually no further details about the two models, but from the pictures of them , it seems that it has two touch -based phones in the classroom.

We are pleased that LG finally seems to get on the smartphone bandwagon when Android definitely not the worst operating system to use .
