Microsoft announced Age of Empires Online. The game is developed by Robot Entertainment and is currently being closed beta, with output expected for 2011 (Formerly was known by the codename Spartan: Spartan, the illegitimate son of Age of Empires).
The adventures of the title will be held in a vast online world inspired by ancient Greece and, as tradition, players will have to start from scratch to build an empire strong, able to address the threats and enemies. Successfully completing the proposed missions, gamers will gain points and money that will improve both their skills and conflict settlement.
Currently there are no other details, but the new Age of Empires Online is closely linked with Games for Windows Live appearance “social”. Our friends can follow what we do in the game and there will be possibility to cooperate in certain missions (cooperative multi player).
