Apple has released MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.9, which corrects a rare error and improves support for external monitors.
Apple’s new MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.9 fixes a very rare error that could possibly get a MacBook Pro to freeze during boot or sometimes just stop in the middle of a process.
MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.9 also improves support for external monitors.
Remember, as always with Apple’s firmware to read the instructions before you update and do not stop the installation before it is completely finished.
MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.9 can be downloaded from Apple or the Software Update in Mac OS X’s System Preferences.
System requirements are Mac OS X 10.6.4 and a 15 “or 17″ MacBook Pro (Mid 2010).
