With Google Earth you can now see in real time where it’s raining, where snowfalls are in place and which portions of the sky are covered by clouds at the moment . This new feature is accessible using the 5.2 release of the software developed by Google.
The weather information is collected by Google through the resources made available by Weather.com, NOWrad and other military and civil organizations. By comparing the radar images provided by Google to other online services we noted a certain inconsistency of information, particularly for some areas close to the Alps.
