How To Undo Sent E-Mail In Gmail

Have you ever thought that you can undo sent email in Gmail ? If not then Google makes it possible for you now you can undo sent email in Gmail. Very few people knows about this feature, when Google launched this feature an “Undo” window appears for only 5 seconds and you had to click that button within that 5 seconds, but now Google has increased that time from 5 seconds to 30 seconds.

Follow the step by step guide given below onĀ  How to undo send email in Gmail.

1. First of all you need to activate this feature, this can done by visiting Google Lab page.

2. In lab page click on the gmail lab link on the right side of the page as shown in picture below.

3. You will find Undo Send button at the bottom of the gmail lab link page.

4. Click on Enable button to activate the Undo Send and then click save changes button.

5. By default the undo send time is 10 seconds but you can increase that time up to 30 seconds. To increase the time go to you gmail account seetings and there in General Tab you will find Undo Send with the duration next to it, increase the time and click on save changes as show in image below.

6. Now you have successfully enabled the Undo Send and also have increased its timing to 30 seconds. It will work each time you send an email and the undo button will appear after sending an email. But keep one thing in mind that undo button will only appear for 30 seconds and if you want to undo it click Undo instantly.

7. After clicking the undo button a meesage will appear on your screen that “Sending has been undone”

You can simply hit “Z” from your keyboard to undo the send email but don’t navigate away from the gmail page, if you do then you will loose the opportunity to undo the send email.
