PS3 Jailbreak In Danger

by Skipper on August 28, 2010

Sony has managed to temporarily block the sale of PS3 Jailbreak. The USB key that allows the execution of backup copies of games and use home brew software on the PS3. A federal court in Australia has ordered local distributors (OzModChips, Mod Supplier and Quantronics) to terminate the sales and distribution of this article.

The order takes effect until Tuesday when there will be a hearing that will determine if the modchip via USB will continue to be sold in Australia. Sony must convince the court that the key is more than a modified console. In Australia, the changes became law in 2005 thanks to a Supreme Court decision.

This magical stick was for Sony as a bolt from the blue. The video below shows that, simply insert the key into the console and start the software. From here you can dump your games to start the copies stored on the hard disk and use home brew software. The software is compatible with the internal hard drive but also with external drives.

The ease with which it works was so disarming that the key is going to steal. Sony has not officially expressed, but according to several reports would be able to detect and combat hacks (PS Jailbreak, Sony can detect the hack ?) And block the PSN account of “pirates”.
