Apple’s sales to government, public institutions and the business exploded in the June quarter. Apple sales grew by 200.8 percent as compared to the same quarter the previous year within a particular segment.

Apple’s huge increase in sales to public authorities in the U.S. is 16 times higher than the rest of the market, located at 12.1 percent compared to June quarter last year, Charlie Wolf, an analyst at Needham.

Within industry sales in general, Apple has closed the market with 49.8 percent over the same quarter last year. The rest of the market is at 15.7 percent, so Apple is growing again, much faster than competitors. Inside sales to the segment of very large companies “Apple has had a growth of more than 100 percent in sales compared to same quarter last year”, writes Apple Insider.

The high growth rate might therefore due to many large companies have chosen to put investment in new computers at the same time by coincidence or simply much more experimenting with the Mac as a platform.

Consumer sales rose in June quarter by 31.4 percent over the same quarter last year, slightly more than the overall market growth at 25.4 percent.

Education sales may be disappointing Apple. Apple grew only 14.7 percent in June quarter compared to the same quarter last year. The overall market has grown by 21.7 percent over the same quarter last year, and that means Apple is losing market share.
