Windows 7 Phone in recent days has quietly passed the 5,000 applications in Marketplace, According to new statistics from Wednesday it already had 5,149 titles available for download.

The growth of the Marketplace is very fast, just think that, just last week, the titles available were approximately 4,000 and 3,000 at the end of November.

The history of Microsoft is still far behind compared to that of Apple (350,000 app present) Google (100,000) but in only two months, has approached almost all the portals for mobile app to a smaller scale.

The growth is considerably faster than what Apple and Google have seen in the early days of their history. As we can see from the graphs posted above, about 72 percent of Microsoft applications are not free, but the statistics confirm that the company is moving towards a price list similar to the iPhone as a clear majority of the apps cost 99 cents or are free. The games are now much more important and make up 22 percent of the store.
