After long months of waiting and after a last-minute problems, comex has finally released the new version of JailbreakMe 3.0 the tool that finally allows the iPad 2 Jailbreak.
The new version of the tool is slightly different from the old: in this version you just have to click on the “Free” and installation of Cydia will be started automatically.
At the moment the tool only supports iPhone OS 4.3.3 but the compatibility with older firmware will arrive shortly.
Jailbreak iPad 2 is finally possible.
Apparently there are still some small problems with the tools that often does not lead to a successful conclusion of the process. If this happens restart the device and try, as suggested by Veeence on Twitter, as long as your device will not be Jailbroken.
Comex also released Cydia Tweak PDF Patcher 2, the successor of the tweak that allowed users who used JailbreakMe closes the loophole used. The new tweak does exactly the same thing then, after doing the jailbreak, I strongly recommend you install this tweak.
We also recommend that you immediately save the SHSH of iOS with TinyUmbrella 4.3.3 since Apple will soon release a new version of iOS to plug the loophole used by COMEX to run the jailbreak.
