According to a report in The Loop Apple has begun to send invitations to the press for an event to be held in New York on January 19, several days before the publication of the results of the first quarter of 2012.

The event will be held in New York at the Guggenheim Museum, and as we can see from the invitation card Apple has invited the press to an ad for the education sector.

The entries for this event began in early January and initially there was talk of an event related to the media, but later MacRumors said Apple would have filmed the promotional interviews with the leaders of the educational publishing sector, reporting that the ‘event will be focused on digital textbooks. Meanwhile, other voices from Goodereader argue that Apple would launch a self-publishing EPUB via iTunes.
