With the advent of the new GPU of Imagination Technologies (a supplier of Apple), the iPhone 5 and the iPad 3 could have performance on the GPU up to 20 times faster than previous models.

Imagination Technologies, a company that produces the iPhone and iPad GPU, announced at CES that it has recently completed the new Power VR GPU Series6. The first two models presented are the PowerVR G6200 and G6400. To get a complete picture of the potential of the innovations of Imagination Technologies, just compare the A5 dual core processor with the A4 iPhone 4 iPhone 4S and you will notice that the newest is 73% faster than the previous.

The new Power VR GPU Series6, will, according to the producer, an increase of 20 times the performance compared to existing processors.

Apple has not officially declared the use of these chips on their terminals, but the Cupertino company has always used the Imagination Technologies GPU and is therefore very likely that they will use it on the next iPhone 5 and iPad 3.

We have seen the leap forward made by Apple regarding the iPhone 4 and 4S graphic, and then we can expect everything to the next device.
