Whited00r is an Italian project that made it possible to port some of the most important functions of iOS 4 and iOS 5 on older devices like the iPhone 2G, 3G or iPod touch 1G. A new updated of the software is now available, let us see what it is.
For those unfamiliar with the project, it started when Apple, with the release of iOS 4, has decided to remove old devices from Apple’s new update.
Perhaps the choice was not entirely wrong, as it would probably be impractical for iPhone 2 g or iTouch 1g running iOS 4, not to mention iOS 5, as the operating system.
In this scenario, cramped, Matteo Morando has created changes on iOS 3.1.3 in such a way as to make it more similar to new operating systems.
In the new update of the firmware are first a general stability and performance improvements, also added features like Reminders (to offer a look iOS 5), the backgrounds of the last operating system, and even a Dropbox backup service (like iCloud).
