Burnout Crash: Unleashing Destruction | Review

by Skipper on April 14, 2012

Burnout ™ CRASH! is the brand new title from EA for iPhone and iPad where we will be grappling with huge spectacular accidents rear-end collisions, and much more.

The purpose of this game? Destroy as much as possible. The main screen is very simple and minimal. From here we can connect our EA Origin account (or create one if you haven’t had) thanks to which we will be able to make head-to-head challenges and other multiplayer game modes with our friends through Autolog, screen or view our Achievements stored on our Game Center account, adjust the settings (such as the volume of Music, Sounds and effects, enable/disable subtitles, show info, awards and much more) and, of course, play.

The game consists of 6 parts, each divided into 3 heats, each of which is composed of 3 different game modes: Rush Our, Pile Up and Road Block.

In the first (Rush Our) we will have 90 seconds to cause the greatest possible clash; in the second (Pile Up) we will be able to focus the largest number of vehicles to make them explode all together, earning a lot of money; in the latest (Road Block) will be able to do the most damage without escape vehicles. If more than 5 to exit the game unscathed, fencing, we lost the game.

As you can see from the screenshot, each of these modes we can win a maximum of 5 stars. Each star is precious because it will allow us to unlock new areas and vehicles. For each mode there will be missions to accomplish in order to conquer the stars: exceeding a threshold of damage (e.g., 50 million dollars), at least one pickup truck exploding pizza 5 vehicles, exploding, demolishing a shop at the same time, performing a combo of 5 consecutive explosions, and many others. Of course at the beginning of each level you will be shown the objective of each star.

In conclusion, the game is quite addictive and really well done, especially with regard to the multitude of random options present.

Burnout ™ CRASH! is available in the App Store and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), and iPad. Requires iOS 4.0 or later.
